- The absence of the local dimming from the LA6200 doesn't lead to any significant difference in the picture quality with the step-up model, because the contrast improvements the aforementioned technology brings (in this case) are quite modest. Besides, each of the them has an IPS panel, so the color reproduction is identical on both.
- The LA7400 has a panel with 240Hz native refresh rate, while its counterpart has only a 120Hz one, which makes the former more suited for content with extremely fast motion such as in some sports, for example. Both of them have the additional TruMotion video processing, which can be adjusted via a menu entry in order for the degree of blur and judder reduction to be fine-tuned.
- The Smart TV features are identical on both, but the LA6200 comes with the standard remote, which makes navigation through the Home Dashboard harder in comparison to the Magic Motion remote that is included with the LA7400. However, the motion-controlled clicker is supported by the LA6200, so you can get is as an optional accessory.
- Both have the passive 3D system, and the 4 pairs of polarized 3D glasses are included with either of them.
- The LA7400 has a sub-woofer, so the speaker system is 2.1 and it can therefore deliver better bass sounds. It's opponent lacks a sub-woofer, thus it has only 2.0 channel audio.
The LA6200 comes in the 60-Inch 60LA6200, the 55-Inch 55LA6200, the 50-Inch 50LA6200, the 47-Inch 47LA6200, and also in the 42-Inch 42LA6200 class.
